Stuck in life.

“You are not stuck in life, you are stuck in what you’ve told yourself life is about.” Guy Finley

Scientists are silly

Science is more confusing that any other subject, topic or debate ever known.

I used to be an avid reader of Universe Today at http://www.universetoday.com About a while ago (around 1/3/09 ish) they published an article about the current scientific thinking on the possibilities of a Star Trek ‘warp-drive’ according to this article wapring spacetime is a ludercrus possibility. Physics does not allow that sort of thing to happen (chuckle, chuckle) it’s all fantasy, as physicists we can say that without ‘warp speed’ is not a possibility.

I was looking at an article today on space.com http://www.space.com/businesstechnology/090506-tw-warp-drive.html That specifically states that warp drive is not impossible.

Could a rational scientists please explain to me that as scientists (dealing in absolutes) that one group sais yes, another says no, another says maybe. Some people know what they’re talking about, others just say they do. They all think they have the correct answers and yet opinions couldn’t be more opposed.

Let’s face it. Science has brought us man, many benefits, but if they were honest they would just say ‘we don’t know’ or ‘is an interesting possibility, but as of yet we have no idea how to do it, or if it’s even possible.’

Scientists really can be quite confused. How long will it take them to realise that there really are very few absolutes. I think they should stop being so smug and start being more honest, more open minded, and a lot less intollerant of people who have more faith in God that their stupid measuring sticks.

How to become a Media Mogul

You should be recording almost everything you say and everything you do. If you cook dinner for the kids – Take in a video camera and film yourself making your favourite recipe, have a banner to Sainsbury’s where your visitor can buy what they need. Got a favorite wine and a special recomended drinking acompaniment? Have a link to where it can be bought.

Advertise and sell. You scratch my back I’ll scratch yours.

Write cooking recepies and sell them for £1.00 or so (market research). Have a .pdf download, or have video that they can watch. Create mailing lists. The golden rule is create. Create, create, create. Get it out there. Need a terrabyte of hard disk storage so that you have enough room to store all this imformation? No problem you can buy a terrabyte drive here http://misco.co.uk/applications/category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=2266 They have a 1Tb hard drive for £60.86 ex VAT (as of 7th Apr ’09).

To be a media mogul you just need the attention of the people of this World. Susan Boyle is an example of this. Inside one week of her appearing on Britain’s got Talent she had been watched by over 60 * 10^6 people. That’s a lot of people to know who you are inside 7 days.

Few people have managed to achieve that level of marketing. Even those who have been in the business their whole lives.
