If your Drupal Admin pages are slow, here’s the fix.

I’ve just upgraded to a Quad Core 3GHz Intel with 4GB RAM and I was hoping that it was my old server being a bit slow, but now with my super-duper uber Server the Drupal admin pages are still running like a dog.

Fortunately there is a simple fix for this. It’s Drupal’s Update module that’s causing everything to be so slow. Just go to Admin > Modules and then under Core (optional) there’s the Update Status module.

If you untick that, save your changes you’ll be running a LOT faster.
