RJ45 Pinout – How to make up a CAT5 cable
Here are the pinout’s you need to make up an RJ45 CAT5 Cable. Make sure the plastic hook is facing away from you then separate the wires out going from left to right in the following order:
1. Orange and White 2. Orange 3. Green and White 4. Blue 5. Blue and White 6. Green 7. Brown and White 8. Brown.
When making up a CAT5 cable – always keep to this colour standard because when it comes to working with CAT5 network boxes the pinouts will be the same.
