Windows 2008 wireless networking problems
If you’re seeing things like ‘hardware error’ ‘driver problem’ when you’ve just installed a wireless network in Windows Server 2008 – don’t panic!
Windows Server 2008 – disables wireless networking be default – bet you didn’t see that one coming! That’s right kids, wired networks are fine, but wireless networks are disabled by default after any installing any version of 2008. You will need to manually install it – here’s how…
In the Server Manager, click on Features > Add feature. Right at the bottom of the list you should see Wireless LAN Service.
Just tick the box and away you go…
